Ed Gibson's Adventure in Space
A Description of Space Flight with Photos
As most of our KHS 1955 classmates know, Ed Gibson achieved something very few people experience. In 1973, as an NASA Astronaut, he flew an 84 day mission in space, aboard the Skylab Satellite.
Kenmore West High School was proud to recognize Ed with a place in its Corridor of Honor. We are even more proud to claim Ed as a fellow classmate in the Class of 1955 and we thank him for providing this first hand account of flying in space, with simply awesome photos as part of it!
Ed's original document, with its many photos, was just too large to convert into a single web document, so we have divided it into seven sections which are listed below. To view a section just roll your mouse over that section and click. When you have read (and optionally printed) that section, use your browser's back button to return to this page to view another section. You will need a copy of the Adobe Reader to view the document. Fortunately almost everybody has that as part of their browser. If not, click here to download a free copy. To return to the KHS1955.com site, click here.
